2017 Volkswagen Touareg
The new car’s overall dimensions are similar to the old model. It keeps the same short overhangs, boxy profile and abrupt front end but modernises those features to help the new model stand out.
The T-Prime’s interior sports a combination of digital instrument display and large central touchscreen to control the infotainment system. These two elements stretch from the centre console, across the dashboard, to behind the steering wheel to form what Volkswagen calls the ‘curved interaction area’.
At the back, similarly, evolutionary upgrades have been made. We’re expecting new LED brake lights to be fitted with a design not utterly dissimilar to those provided to the Tiguan. These will place more emphasis on the Touareg’s width while giving it an identifiable night-time signature from behind.
The T-Prime SUV will most probably share many styling features with the new Touareg including the distinctive front grille and C-shaped daytime running lights.
